The objective is to assist the amateur astronomer in choosing the right sensor for their optics. Performance is evaluated both numerically and visually, with direct feedback on real sample images.
Deep Sky objects are available via survey images; Planetary objects through NASA/ESA affiliated systems; Sky maps via Fourmilab's "Your Sky" by John Walker.
Provided as-is, without any express or implied warranty. Released into the public domain. Use at your own risk.
FOV does not require installation. Extract the downloaded ZIP archive into a dedicated folder (write permissions required). All archive contents must be extracted together into the same directory.
To update: use the same directory and overwrite existing files. Exit FOV before updating to avoid losing settings or downloaded images.
